Our Studio

We are located in Connexion Community Center in North Central Austin. We also offer other music programs at other convenient locations around Austin 

Studio History

WholeSteps specializes in early childhood music education. Originally Kindermusik at Capital Music, the program was started by Natalie Crawford, a Kindermusik pioneer and Austin's first Kindermusik teacher. Upon retirement, Natalie turned the program over to Karla and it is now called WholeSteps.

Our Philosophy

We believe that music is essential in life and learning.  Unfortunatly our schools view music education as optional, but just like reading or math, music is part of a well-educated child's curriculum.  Not only is the ability to make music be an enourmous gift to your child, but research shows the musical learning process itself stimulates the brain in ways that no other learning can.  Music lessons today will pay off in the classroom too- and give your child a healthy and valuable emotional outlet for years to come.
